Why are Ooshies so popular?

If you have a child... or a grandchild... you're probably well aware of the Ooshies craze that's swept the country. The Disney collectibles are the latest Woolworths giveaway and are so popular many supermarkets have run out of stock. Some schools have also banned them because of the distraction they're causing in the classroom. So why are these little plastic figurines so popular? Massey University marketing professor Dr Bodo Lang spoke to John Campbell.
