A new survey which was published this week, commissioned by the Electoral Commission in the wake of the June elections looked at how perceptions of diversity affected how people voted.  One finding coming out of the survey was a large number of people thought government immigration policy was part of a wider ‘act’ to have ‘obedient’ voters, A known conspiracy theory. Joining Sean Defoe for Anton was author and scientist of The Irrational Ape: Why We Fall for Disinformation, Conspiracy Theory and Propaganda  David Robert Grimes, on why conspiracy theories are gaining ground among voters and how to combat it.
