Why are so many of us avoiding jury duty?

Have you been summoned for jury duty and done it? We'd love to know on 2101. We're asking because a third of people summoned for jury duty in 2025 either didn't respond to the request, or didn't turn up at court. That's a dramatic increase from pre-Covid numbers. In 2019, just 13 percent of those summoned failed to report for jury duty .. so what's going on?
