Social media companies are facing growing questions over their responsibility to remove videos showing illegal and dangerous activity, particularly following the recent M9 tragedy.Under Irish and EU law, platforms must remove illegal content once they become aware of it, but there is a grey area when videos show potentially illegal activity rather than being illegal in themselves.
