Why Can't Science Answer Why?

Have we elevated science to such an exalted position that it has become our new God? Rather than searching for God, people are turning to science. Can we accomplish both? Has God collaborated with science? Science is only a way for a sentient, rational being to understand their environment and the physical reality.
