Why Christians Should Fast
from Pastors’ Hangover Hosted by Pastors’ Hangover
Why does the Bible talk so much about fasting, testimony, and slowing down? In this episode of Pastors' Hangover, Melissa sits down with Pastors Hal Mayer, Craig Altman, and Daryl Black to unpack the spiritual discipline of fasting and why it still matters today. The conversation dives into the meaning of “Selah,” the power of sharing your testimony even when you’re still in the middle of the story, and how fasting helps refocus our hearts on God. As we prepares for 21 days of prayer and fasting leading up to Easter, the pastors discuss practical ways to fast, the physical and spiritual benefits of it, and why God often does His deepest work in the pauses of life. If you’ve ever wondered how fasting works or how your story can strengthen someone else’s faith, this conversation will challenge and encourage you.
