A graduate of The University of Alabama where she was the President of the criminal justice honor society and became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She then attended Thomas Goode Jones School of Law. While there, she won the 1L closing argument competition, served on the board of advocates, law review and traveled across the country on a national award-winning mock trial advocacy team. One week before starting her last year of law school, Chuantae gave birth to her Colbie Ava. With God’s grace and the unwavering support of her husband, Chuantae still attended the first day of class only one week after giving birth. After passing the bar on the first attempt, Chuantae began her legal career as a public defender.
