Why Christmas, Pt 2 - The First Star Trek

The wise men's journey to find Jesus reveals how God reaches people from all backgrounds and circumstances. These pagan astrologers traveled hundreds of miles, following a star to worship the newborn King. Their story contrasts sharply with King Herod, who was geographically close to Jesus but spiritually distant. The magi brought gold symbolizing Jesus' royalty, frankincense representing His priesthood, and myrrh foreshadowing His sacrificial death. Like these ancient seekers, we must actively pursue Jesus rather than passively wait. Their example shows that no one is beyond God's reach, and the greatest gift we can offer Jesus is our surrendered hearts in worship. This is part 2 in the series "Why Christmas?" by Pastor Chuck Tilton[Recorded 2025-12-14]Don’t forget to subscribe to this podcast.
