The Christmas story reveals the power of waiting with joyful expectation through Simeon and Anna, two elderly saints who spent decades actively waiting for the Messiah. Their waiting wasn't passive but involved positioning themselves in the temple through worship, prayer, and service. While many missed Jesus when He came because they weren't paying attention, Simeon and Anna remained spiritually alert and were rewarded for their faithful expectation. God's timing is always perfect, even when it feels slow to us.
