Why Did I Create This Show?

from The Architecture of Health · host Deborah Voisin

I once received a $350,000 medical bill for misdiagnosis, surgery, and medication that DIDN'T WORK to resolve a problem that a simple elimination diet mostly corrected a few months later for free. Although I had insurance, I still had to pay a $20,000 copay for the useless and damaging interventions. This unexpected experience catalyzed me to start a 17-year journey down a deep rabbit hole of root-cause health research to find practical alternatives to invasive, expensive, and often inappropriate medical procedures...and many were not only free but simple, enjoyable, and unexpected! I used research and design thinking skills from my 25-year-long design research career to help my son heal from several "incurable" conditions. This show is to share this way of thinking so that more people can find unexpected, effective, enjoyable, and affordable ways to create health.
