Why Did I Get Married Commentary (Happy 52nd Birthday, Tyler Perry)

Once I put aside the gripes I have with some of this guy's narratives and executions on screen, I have to do nothing else but tip my hat to Tyler Perry for being a major success as a black man in Hollywood... His story and his growth is amazing, and that pretty much outweighs any issues I may have with a stage play, movie, or tv show. But this one, this movie is his best creation for me personally, and more relevant than ever before in my opinion. It speaks volumes to people who even aren't in these characters' predicaments, so that's a testament to how powerful this film can be at times. Good old black cinema. Enjoy, people.
