Why did Jesus get baptized?

Why did Jesus get baptized? To set an example for us To identify with the brokenness of humanity. “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” - 2 Corinthians 5:21   This is the good news: If you have turned from your sin and believed in Jesus’ sacrifice for you, then God looks at you the same way He looks at Jesus.  “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” -Matthew 3:17 You have been made right with God and your baptism proclaims your identity in Jesus.    The next time you feel discouraged or like a disappointment to God, remember that you are loved by God and He is pleased with you.    Talk to a friend about baptism this week.  Have you been baptized before?
