Why did Jesus Sweat Blood?│Matthew 26│

Matthew 26 begins with Jesus predicting His imminent crucifixion and the religious leaders plotting His death. A woman anoints Jesus with expensive perfume, symbolizing His upcoming burial, while Judas agrees to betray Him for thirty pieces of silver. During the Last Supper, Jesus institutes the Lord’s Supper and foretells that one of the disciples will betray Him. In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus prays in deep agony, submitting to the Father’s will, before being arrested by a mob led by Judas.
