Why did this Horse have 3 Angels Protecting him?

Have you ever experienced a bond with an animal so powerful that it completely defied explanation? In this episode of the 5AM. Podcast, host Michael Klassen sits down with lifelong horsewoman and author Tammy Holsey to discuss her deeply moving true story, "Checote's Angels."For 23 years, Tammy shared an unbreakable bond with her horse, Checote—a wild Pinto gentled by a Comanche handler who went on to become her partner, protector, and soulmate.Tammy shares the terrifying true account of an emergency bareback ride where she laid down the reins, threw out the map, and trusted Checote to navigate a labyrinth of trails in the Texas heat to find a critically injured friend. From the mysterious "bird dog point" that saved Checote's life after a freak accident to multiple independent witnesses seeing guardian angels in his stall, this episode is a breathtaking reminder that we are never truly alone. We also take a fascinating dive into Tammy's incredible family history, including her 10-year-old ancestor Katie, who went on a Paul Revere-style bareback ride to warn Texas settlers after the fall of the Alamo in 1836.If you believe that God uses all of His creation—including horses and dogs—to deliver peace, guidance, and miracles, this conversation will move you deeply.✨ Pick up your copy of "Checote's Angels" by Tammy Holsey on Amazon: [https://a.co/d/0f6OiYZX👉 Support the Podcast: Loved this episode?
