Why Diets Don’t Serve Us

from Third Chances · host Vera Czerny

Welcome to the first episode of the year 2024  (although I said episode #2 on the recording). My apologies, technology gave me a hard time first weeks of the New Year. All is well now :)In this episode, I was excited to interview a first-time mom, a charming Casey Weiss, a certified holistic nutritionist and life coach. Casey founded her company YOUR CASE FOR WELLNESS to help women get out of the diet spiral to finally both feel and look their best and healthiest. I never met one person in my life who didn't experiment with different diets at least once - did you?So when you find someone who has a refreshing, healthy approach to the "never-ending issue of weight loss", I was eager to get her on the podcast.  Even if you already know that temporary diets aren't the permanent answer, or are a queen of meal prep, I promise you will learn new things. It's worth listening to what Casey, who started with eating disorders and devoted her career to preventing that from happening to others, has to say. We both shared values about the right way to optimize health, wellness, and even the path to longevity. We talked about: How one innocent remark can trigger years of eating disorder Why weight loss is not the only indicator of overall health What to do when you’re at war with your body What’s intuitive eating What’s the most underrated style of meal prep when you’re super busy How to manage expectations How to set up your kids for healthy relationships with food later on WHY diets don’t serve us How is It’s never too late to start feeling great in your skinAnd much more!
