Welcome to the Bea Bold in Business podcast. My name is Samantha Hearn and I'm the host of this amazing channel. I wanted to bring you a place where you hear from myself and other amazing, inspirational business people on their journey to the success they've created. I wanted to bring you the offline journeys to the online successes that we see on social media.

I want to create a place where you hear the struggles people have been through, the challenges, the lessons they've learned, the mistakes they've made, so that you know that ordinary people can create extraordinary things every single day, and that it's totally possible for you to. The Bea Bold in Business podcast is a place where you are going to hear real, genuine, what's and all stories from some of the most exceptional people in business, and how they've succeeded anyway. If you are ready to show up in your business, if you are ready to be bold, if you are ready to learn from your mistakes, if you are ready to bounce back and become more resilient, this is a podcast for you. And me, Samantha Hearn, I cannot wait to welcome you, support you, empower and inspire you, and share with you the stories that sometimes don't get shared online, and give you this real refreshing approach on how building a business sometimes can be hard, sometimes involves failing, sometimes involves struggle, but you can still succeed anyway.

So welcome to the Bea Bold in Business podcast, and I cannot wait for you to take your invitation to be bold in your business too. OK, let's talk about your marketing and your message from a point of connection with your ideal clients. So this is really important, and this podcast episode is to give you some ideas and ways that you can really start thinking about connecting with your potential clients and why they want to work with you. So I've actually called this podcast, Why Do People Work With You?

And I really want us to start digging into this. So why do you think people want to work with you? And I have come up with five areas I think are really important when it comes to why people want to work with you, and hopefully start to give you some idea around how you can start to make your brand, your marketing and your message really focus in this area, because sometimes I think we can get really, really engulfed in this idea of what really gets people to work with you, whether it's your illiterate titles of your programs, whether it's your bonuses, whether it's your images you use. But ultimately there are five cool areas that I believe are the reason that people want to work with you, the reason that people come forward, the reason that people actually take that next step.

Now the first one is your energy. This isn't something that you can package up and give to someone without them actually being able to connect to you. So when you think about your marketing and your message, when you think about your business and your brand, how are you portraying and presenting your energy? Because that is really important.

And this is for you, obviously, if you are a service based business, which is who I support help. So any service, whether you are a website designer, whether you're a photographer, a fashion expert, a PT, a yoga expert, a mindset coach, a dog trainer, you're providing a service. So your energy is going to be really important to aligning with the client and whether you are a match. So this doesn't mean you need to be dancing on reels.

It doesn't mean that you need to be visible, left, right and center. But it doesn't mean that your business needs to portray you. So have you found yourself almost getting swept up in? I need to post five carousels a week.

I need to have a viral reel going out once a month. But have you kind of got swept up in what you think marketing is versus what you want your business to stand for? Have you kind of got lost in amongst that? So if your energy is not able to show through in your business, if you don't believe that your energy is coming through as something that people can really, really connect with, then I would say that this is a real priority for your marketing and your message, not the layout of a newsletter, not the kind of subheadings that you use, but have you, your energy, your story, your journey, the work that you do, your passion comes across to your community.

Your passion for the work that you do with your clients, the amazing results that you are celebrating and that make you just feel so alive. You know, how are you marketing the energy of your business and your brand? And then the second part to that is your relatability. Everyone isn't going to want to work with you and that is completely okay.

People don't relate to everybody. And how do people know if they relate to you and you have aligned messages and aligned values? Well, it starts with you as a person selling the service, really bringing that forward. So give yourself the opportunity to be relatable to the right person.

And here's the thing, we can do so much around your avatar, your ideal client, making sure you know your niche. But the bottom line is the people that are going to get the best results from working with you are the people that also relate to you, that you can build relationships with, that you have things in common where the work feels fun, where what you're doing actually makes an impact, is enjoyable. So yes, you want to know who ideal client is, of course. But more than that, you want to know who you're trying to relate to.

Who are you trying to attract? Who are you trying to work with? Because if you're saying, well, I want to work with someone who's this age and has this job and does this and does that, is that relatable? Or do you really want to think about somebody in mind, like the energy of something you want to work with?

The personality, the characteristics, the values. So how are you bringing that into your business, making sure that you are relating to the right people? You know, for me, I have people that work with me without discovery calls, very rarely do I have a discovery call, because I'm able to find out about them and their business and what they need. But they already know about me and what I offer and my values and my energy and they relate to it, therefore they want to work with me.

So it's not difficult for me to attract the most amazing women into my world because we can, they can see over time how I'm relatable. They can see my energy, they see that consistency. So my marketing works for me, my marketing sells for me, and I don't have to then do a lot of the selling, because it's just done innately through my marketing, through my message. And that's really important when you can sell without selling.

And then the third element to this is your journey. Are you sharing your journey? How you've got to this point? Are you sharing that enough?

I know that I definitely don't. I haven't shared my journey in a really long time. So how are you sharing that? So that your clients can actually see where you've come from and how you've got to this point.

They can see the steps that you've taken and therefore you become even more relatable when win. So are you thinking about your journey? Are you bringing that into your business? You know, when you talk about, okay, so five ways you could do this.

And this is what I did, three ways you can achieve this. And this is what I did. You know, are you bringing your journey into your message? And I'm working with my clients in this a lot, and one of them is going to be listening to this.

They know who they are, and we spend a lot of time making sure that we can bring their personality and their journey into their business. We can bring their story into this morning. Your story is the most powerful thing. And she has even said, have most successful posts of 2020 so far have been around sharing a story in her journey.

It makes you more relatable. And it makes people more interested in how you've got to this point. So how is your marketing and your message talking about your journey, bringing in your story, where you started from, your progress, what's got you to this point, your passion in these areas? Then we have the next two, which is to do with what you do.

You offer and the outcome. Now, why would someone want to work with you? Because you have an offer that aligns with them, and you have an outcome that they want. So are you able to market and promote this to your audience consistently, but in a variety of ways?

And I work with my experimental mind, it's like creating them a document on how you can say the same thing in multiple ways, how you can market your message without saying the same thing twice, but essentially with the same outcome. They've also got a bonus training on how to elevate your marketing and your messaging when we're looking at these areas. So inside the experimental mind, we do do a lot of work in depth in these areas. But for you for this podcast, the starting point would be, are you very clear on your offer and the outcome and who it's for and therefore creating content and a message and a story and context around those areas?

So when you think about why do people work with you? Is it because of the fog you're using on your graphics? Is it because of the three colors that you've got on your posts? Or is it because of your energy, your story, your lifestyle and what you're doing to create and portray the difference?

Why do people actually want to work with you? You usually are going to be your biggest selling point. So you are usually going to be the reason that people first think, oh, okay, if she's doing it, I could do it. You know?

So are you leading by example? Are you showcasing what you're doing? Are you sharing the journey? Are you relatable?

Where's your energy? And then do you have an offer and an outcome that they want? And then I really want you to be thinking about this in your marketing and your messaging. Why do people want to work with me?

So the next time you spend two hours trying to create this really pretty graphic, what I really want you to be thinking about is how can you then bring it to life with your energy? How can you make it relatable? How can you make sure that you're offering the outcome is what they want? How are you going to provide context to that?

And a lot of the time, the posts, the emails, the work that you do, cement the message that you are sharing. So for example, if I was to talk about the summer sprint, my eight week program that comes out once a year and it's coming out and we start next month in June. So if you're listening to this podcast in May 23, we start in June. Then a lot of my content, my messaging, me and my energy is going to be talking about it.

If I think created a really fancy post or carousel or really about the summer sprint, that wouldn't be the reason someone would buy or invest, but it could just solidify, give them more information, allow them to see the impact. So I just want you to really think about where are you focusing your time on more? Are you focusing more on the broadcasting and making sure that you've got the pretty graphics and you're like, yeah, I've posted about it. But have you actually spoken about it?

This is the thing with your messaging and marketing. You might have posted or shared a link or copy your graphic, but are you actually sharing your energy, your relatability and really going into the offer and the outcomes? Why do people work with you? I really want you to be thinking about that question when you're creating your marketing to sell, when you're looking at your messaging to attract your clients.

Why is it that people are working with you? What is it that they want from you? Okay. So then I want you to be thinking about how are you bringing this?

How are you bringing what you find in your reflections from this into your brand, your content and your message? What are you doing to bring this into your business so that you can keep things coming to life in this way through the areas that you know, other reason clients work with you? And you'll know that because they tell you, I have to reach out because of this. I knew I wanted to work with you because of this.

You're the right person because of this. You know, why do people want to work with you? You will know the answer to that. And if you don't, start with the five areas that I've shared in this podcast, your energy, your relatability, your journey and then you're offering the outcome.

And it's about making sure that you are bringing that to life for people, you know, you are bringing that energy to your business. So please give yourself the opportunity to start refraining how you're showing up so that you are focusing on this connection piece and this energy and bringing things to life rather than just having these posts or graphics, you know, as a shopfront. They need to be both. They need to be context.

They need to be conversation. I talk about this all the time. So if you're in a situation where you do know that you want to work on this, you want to be building real momentum in your business, you want to be able to see results, you want your business to start really coming to life in this way. You want to be getting better results, more consistent results.

I have a 50% of those summer sprinters are still clients now in my high ticket programs, which just shows you that one, they got the results, but two, they're ready for that next level of support.

And I think that's really, really important for you to look at understanding the longevity of your success and how doing it on your own will only take you so far. So if you know you're looking for accountability, you're also looking for things like this strategy that we're speaking about different ways of doing things being challenged, but also building up your momentum and generating results. And please please reach out now. And we can discuss working in the summer spring together.

But ultimately for all of you listening to this, if you are not going to be one of those eight people, and this isn't your time, then I do need to really thinking about what you are doing to really answer this question of why people work with you and how are you bringing that into your business into your marketing and into your message on a consistent basis with the intention to achieve that. So really think about that question. And for those of you wanting to become a summer sprinter, please reach out now and I absolutely cannot wait to welcome you at the start of this race. Let's get sprinting.

Come on. Right. Have an amazing day. I'll see you soon.
