Why Do You Do Good Things?
from Open House Church Sermons · host KJ Tromp
Good actions can hide a desire for approval, reward, or control. Titus 2 says God's saving grace trains His people to reject ungodliness and live self-controlled, upright lives. Jesus fulfilled God's law and paid the penalty for our disobedience, so obedience remains serious but no longer earns peace with God. As forgiven people dwell on grace, fear and pride lose their grip, and kindness, purity, forgiveness, and self-control grow from love for God. Bible Reference: Titus 2:1–14 Preacher: KJ Tromp
