Why do you hate your “here”?

from A Work in Progress: My Personal and Professional Development Diary · host Brelynn Hunt

It’s been a week since the start of the new year, and I’m already starting off shaky. Between COVID, a snow storm, work and the little struggles of life, I’ve found myself hating my “here”. Worst of all, the new year, new me rhetoric on social media has been making me discontent with my own life, instead of inspiring me to start or continue on my spiritual wellness journey. In today’s episode, we’ll talk about comparison, the growing pains of our 20s, and how God wants to develop us in private so we can effectively demonstrate our purpose in public.KINGDOM KEYSSurviving Redefining- Sarah Jakes Roberts - https://youtu.be/P-Vz-clTORI“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin….” Zechariah 4:10 “I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:12-13 Philippians 4:12-13 The Message Bible-“Actually, I don’t have a sense of needing anything personally. I’ve learned by now to be quite content whatever my circumstances. I’m just as happy with little as with much, with much as with little. I’ve found the recipe for being happy whether full or hungry, hands full or hands empty. Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am.”Prayer:Lord, Help me to not seek approval from others, but from you alone.  Show me how to be patient and open to the process of you approving me in private.EPISODE AFFIRMATIONSI am a confident, continuous work in progress.I believe in myself and my ability to reach my full potential.I believe in my ability to achieve whatever I set my mind to.Today, I release my fears and open my mind to new possibilities.I find harmony in the changes happening in my life.I trust the process.timestampswelcome to a work in progress, the podcast - 0:00 the start to my new year - 2:00being transparent in my redefining, but not too soon- 15:20year of love, but I hate u- 23:30social media comparison - 29:34audience question- 31:11surrender to God’s plan - 35:01this is going to be a process- 36:56obscurity produces integrity - 38:11growing pains of your 20s - 45:33kingdom keys - 50:34episode affirmations - 54:35send me a messageIf you have any feedback on the podcast, please let me know on Instagram or send me a message below. If you enjoyed the show, please share it with your friends and family and leave a review on Apple Podcasts!
