Without a doubt, our relationship with God is the most important one in our lives. And yet, we all know that it waxes and wanes, affected by the vicissitudes of circumstance, health, and mood. As I reflect on my own relationship with the Father, who has saved me from hopelessness, it occurs to me that our relationship with God is not that different from our relationship with other people.
