Why Everyone Is Wrong When They Say Both Parties Are the Same

Help me keep saying the thing that need to be said. I appreciate you! Upgrade at 30% off!Hello Friends,Every now and then I see a comment or a post from somebody who says, “Both political parties are the same.”There's truth to that, but I think expressing this sentiment represents an opportunity to help reeducate the general population. One of the main problems in the way we communicate in the United States is that we oversimplify everything. Part of that is because of an overall trend to ridicule anyone with an educated opinion. There are people who stomp around saying, “I hate math,” as if that makes them some kind of hero. Whenever they say that I ask, “Do you have change for a $20?” Followed by, “No, it's THREE 10s.”If you do that you'll find out they don't actually hate math that much after all.“Why are you trying to cheat me?”“I thought you said you hated math.”“I do.”“Then stop trying to perform a calculation and give me my three 10s. If you don't have that, I'll take nine 5s. Look, I'm trying to RESPECT your beliefs.”When we repeat oversimplifications, we're doing the work of the enemy for them. Instead of saying “both parties are the same,” you have to be specific. Tell us HOW they're the same. That's how you go from making a throwaway comment to actually having an impact on the world.“Both political parties in the United States are conservative. We have no liberal representation. That's why nothing works.”It is stunning to me how infrequently people do this. They'll say that both parties are corrupt. They'll say both parties are filled with liars. They'll say that both parties are filled with pedophile enablers. But they refuse to say that both parties are conservative.Do you see what's happening here? They're using the essential corruption of our political system to besmirch the ideology that would actually save us.We've all been indoctrinated. We all unconsciously participate in this. That's how deep the corruption goes. The simple fact of the matter is we don't have a single politician in the United States who is to the left of center. Even Bernie Sanders is right of center. He's a moderate. People keep forgetting that there are conservative parties in other parts of the world that would never even consider opposing universal healthcare.“Take away people's healthcare, are you kidding me?”That's what they'd say.“That would be political suicide, where are you from that you'd even think that's a reasonable idea? America? Oh, that explains it. You have my condolences.”Get it through your head that the politics of the United States of America is off the charts corrupt and it's all because we have ZERO liberal representation. How do we fix this? Well, the process starts by reversing our conditioning and finding the courage to speak the truth. For example, instead of saying, “Both parties are the same,” say “Both parties are conservative.”It's such a very small thing to do, but it makes a world of difference. When you say this in public, you can expect the confident smiles you were facing to falter. They were anticipating that you'd reinforce their socially conditioned beliefs. They thought the two of you would be grunting about the same old six talking points that have been handed down in perpetuity by our controlling overlords. If you hit them with a “both parties are conservative,” they'll become uncertain.“What....”Then you can provide them with evidence. “Look at the way the Democrats rolled over when the convicted felon came to power. Pelosi insisted on appointing a guy who was dying of cancer to the Oversight Committee. She couldn't stand the idea that somebody as close to the center as Alexandria Ocasio Cortez would ever get a seat of power.”Then they'll say something like, “But AOC is liberal...”“She's liberal leaning, which is another way of saying right of center in the USA. Try to keep up. Nobody in this country is liberal. The news isn't liberal. The schools aren't liberal. Healthcare isn't liberal. Church isn't liberal.” Then start to laugh, “Ha ha ha, there's absolutely nothing liberal at all. That's why the country is a mess. The pendulum isn't allowed to swing through the center. It bounces against an invisible barrier and rockets straight to fascism.”When you confront deeply rooted ideological beliefs like this, you leave people stunned and spinning. They'll look like they're being tossed around on a boat at sea. This is when they're vulnerable. Hit them with some facts they can't refute.“Look at the way the Democrats roused themselves to attack Mamdani. When it comes to somebody who says, 'Hey the price of products is too high,' the Democrats somehow find the energy to mobilize their platform into a formidable resistance. Meanwhile, when a Republican organizes a coup, all they do is shrug and send sternly worded letters.”Then fix your companion with a serious look and say, “And that's how they respond to a right of center politician. Imagine if we had somebody who was actually to the left.” Then laugh and take a swig of whatever you're drinking. It feels like I run up against this misconception about a hundred times a day. When you say something like, “Our entire political system is conservative,” about 80% of the people you talk to are so indoctrinated that they dismiss you out of hand. If they don't know you personally, they'll assume you're some crazy person out on the street mumbling about the end of the world. They're used to crossing paths with people like that because conservative countries don't offer any mental health services. That's something that's reserved for liberal countries. We don't have that in the USA. Instead, when somebody has a mental health crisis, the doctors push them out the door and say, “Bye, good luck!”Really, seriously, sit down and try to think of even one thing that's liberal in the USA. If you think you have something, see if you can find conservative politicians in other parts of the world that would support that thing without question.I 100% guarantee that will be the case. The politics of the United States is cruel, sadistic, and conservative. Before we ever have a chance of changing that, we have to start educating the public that this is a problem. We have to make people ashamed that they'd call themselves conservative. You know… the same way people are made to feel ashamed if they're called “liberal” today (even though nothing is liberal in this country). If you want things to start getting better, get into the habit of emphasizing how literally all our problems derive from conservative ideology. Both political parties are conservative, that’s why they work together for their own ends and do absolutely nothing for the rest of us.You all make this newsletter happen!
