A lot of that comes back to tech, with Microsoft and other companies continuing to pull people into the area. It’s not just a trickle either, it’s steady growth. If you’ve noticed more new faces around town lately… yeah, there’s a reason for that.🌿 Learn to Forage Right Here in Redmond There’s a hands-on class on Sunday, April 5 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Redmond Library that dives into edible and medicinal plants found around the PNW. You’ll learn how to identify over 10 local plants, plus how to grow and use them at home. They’re even doing tastings and letting you build your own tea blend to take with you. It’s free and first come, first served. Show up a little early if you want a seat.🍻 Free Bingo Night at Flatstick Pub Flatstick Pub is running their weekly bingo night on Wednesday, April 8 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, and yeah, it’s free to play. They’re giving away gift cards, brewery swag, and other prizes throughout the night. It’s one of those easy midweek things where you can just show up, grab a drink, and hang out for a couple hours. If you’ve never been, it’s a pretty low-pressure way to check the place out.🎲 Late Night Board Games at Uncle’s Uncle’s Games is doing their open game night on Saturday, April 4 from 8:00 to 11:00 PM at Redmond Town Center. You can jump into their demo games or just bring your own and play with friends. It’s super casual, no sign-up or structure, just tables and people playing whatever they’re into. If you’ve been meaning to dust off a game at home, this is a good excuse to actually use it.🐾 Bark in the Park (Yes, There’s an Egg Hunt for Dogs) Bark in the Park is happening Friday, April 3 from 4:00 to 5:30 PM at Farrel-McWhirter Park, and it’s basically a spring event built for you and your dog. There’s a dog-friendly egg hunt, treat stations, sniff spots, and even a little Easter bonnet contest if you’re feeling ambitious. It’s free, but you do need to register ahead of time. Bring a leash and be ready for mud if it rains.🚲 Bicycle Bling Cycling season is ramping up, and there are a couple things worth knowing about. The 12-week Cascade Training Series kicks off April 11 if you’re thinking about longer endurance rides this year. And if you just want something social, there’s the Eastside Easter Eggstravaganza ride leaving Perrigo Park on April 5 for a group spin through the valley.
