Why God Does (and Doesn't) Heal - Matthew 15:29-31
from Toronto Alliance Church · host Toronto Alliance Church
I was thinking, if you want to really bring hope to a person, start talking about divine healing and pray for them, so that even a measure of the burden of illness or affliction or heaviness is lifted and light comes to the eyes. It is the afflictions that come to our bodies or to our minds that weigh us down so much, and has all through human history. So when Jesus comes and is known as one who heals sicknesses, crowds just gather, they just come from all over the place. And even in our day where there's so much medicine and within a kilometer of our church we have some of the best medical care in the world, yet we're still left with many deficiencies. At the end of the day, we're still reaching out with our burdens and our afflictions to God. And I want here today to take some time to talk about why God heals and why he sometimes doesn't. I hope to strengthen your faith, our faith to come to God. We will read out of Matthew 15. Preacher: Bill Dyck Extra reading: 2 Kings 5:1-14
