There are billions of dollars in clean energy tax incentives in the Inflation Reduction Act that President Joe Biden signed into law on Tuesday – and for the first time they will be accessible to cities, nonprofits, public power utilities and rural electric cooperatives that are usually excluded from using tax credits for clean energy.
