When the Father of BLACK HISTORY, DR. CARTER G. WOODSON, started NEGRO HISTORY WEEK he did so in hopes of America incorporating Negro history within the larger context of American History. Instead in the 70s Negro History week was expanded into BLACK HISTORY MONTH, but in reality more and more schools fail to celebrate BLACK HISTORY MONTH today, WHY? Our special guest, BLACK CULTURAL ARTS NATIONALIST, TERRY "EMEKA" THOMAS visits MD to discuss, not only the importance of celebrating BLACK HISTORY for AFRICAN-AMERICANS, but for ALL AMERICANS. He currently has a bill in the GEORGIA state legislation to make it mandatory for BLACK HISTORY to be taught in PUBLIC SCHOOLS for all grades. As THOMAS leads the charge to make DR.
