Why is community important?

from The Flourishing Life Podcast · host The Flourishing Life Podcast

In this episode we discuss why community is so important to us, and the benefits we see from it. It is so important to have friends to help you when you need it, and also understand what you are going through and empathize with your struggles and situation. The struggles of your children dressing themselves, or going on a scavenger hunt through the house to find something (gross) that's missing, and also deeper things, like struggling to be vulnerable and still feel loved and accepted. We discuss how it is valuable to have friends that might be just one step ahead of you in life and experiences so they can provide insight and advice as we navigate different situations and life phases. We also talk about how important it is to have close (in proximity) friends that can help you when you physically need things that a long distance friendship can't provide.
