Why is love the greatest commandment?

God's love is the greatest force in the universe because God is love. Love is not merely a feeling, an emotion, or even a decision. Love is a Person, and that Person is our Creator.When Jesus was asked what commandment was greatest, He answered in Mark 12:30-31: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength... and love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these."
