Why is the right so cruel?

Science just proved again what we already knew:conservatives lack empathy.“Why should I care about them?”“They’re not our problem.”“America First.”Cool story bro.You’ve been fired.Researchers from Northwestern, NYU, and Boston College studied over 30,000 people.They asked one simple question:Who do you care about?Liberals said: family, friends, strangers, animals, and the environment.Conservatives said: my family and people who look like me. That’s it.Conservatives extend empathy to 70% fewer people than liberals do.Science has already proven that conservatives have larger, overactive amygdalas.That’s the fear center of your brain.When your brain runs on fear, you can’t expand your empathy.You see outsiders as threats, not people.Now people keep asking meIs it biological? Were they born this way?Or is it from authoritarian parenting where you learned empathy gets you hurt?Science says: both.Your brain can get wired for fearthrough childhood trauma and authoritarian parenting.But once you’re an adult, you get to choose whether to stay that way or not.They COULD expand their circle.They COULD work on their empathy.They just don’t.Why? Because being cruel is easier than doing the work to change.This explains everything.You don’t care when people suffer.You don’t care when protesters get shot.You don’t care when people can’t afford healthcare.Anti-immigration? Who cares not our tribe.Anti-welfare? If its not our family who cares.America First? Only people who look like us.Conservative politics is built on cruelty and a lack of empathy.So what do you do with people who have no empathy for others?We make sure they never hold power over us again.And stop pretending they’re good people.They’re not.If they were they would reflect and admit they were wrong.
