Why Jacob?

Key Takeaways: Jacob's selection over Esau highlights that God's plans are based on grace, not human qualifications. God's strength is made perfect in our weakness, working through those who seem unqualified by worldly standards. The act of Jacob receiving Isaac's blessing while covered with lambskin foreshadows Christ's work as the Lamb of God covering us with righteousness. God's blessings are given freely through grace, not earned by our efforts. No matter one's past, through Christ's righteousness, one is seen as righteous and called into God's purpose. Notable Quotes: "God's strength is made perfect in our weakness." "He doesn't call the qualified, he qualifies the called." "No matter what your past looks like or how unworthy you feel, you are covered by the righteousness of Christ." "God's choices are rooted in his purpose and grace, not human standards." "God redeems, covers, and calls us into his plans, regardless of our flaws." Join Heidi Wysman as she reflects on biblical principles to anchor you deeper in Hope.
