Isn't it fascinating that when we are hurt by someone our tendency isn't just to be skeptical of that person's love, but often we find ourselves skeptical of God's love. No one is going to be able to practice perfect love every moment of every day. Even still, we should take seriously the fact that, as Christ-followers, we are representatives of who God is. We are meant to be ambassadors and image-bearers. This is true as we live our lives out in the public square, but even more true in our homes. What makes our marriages profound and meaningful is the fact that they are meant to bear witness to Christ's love for His Church. The hard question we need to ask ourselves often is, do our kids experientially know Christ's love for his bride in how mom and dad love each other each day?
