Why Leaders Should Learn To Forgive

Today's conversation between Chad Kneller, Martevious Young and I is the response to a conversation between Craig Groeschel and Lysa TerKeurst about the importance of forgiveness when you're in a place of leadership. Here are some of the high points: Bitterness rots the bones AND it leaks onto the people around you EVERY single time. The people you love end up paying the price for your unwillingness to forgive. It's not "forgive and forget" ... but we do need to forgive what we cannot forget. I desperately need grace so I need to freely give grace! You can train instinct (over time) so that when things arise, you have the ability to make the transition to forgive and extend grace quickly. Don't let your hurt turn into hate - it's a very slippery slope. Just because you feel offended doesn't mean you have to live an offended life.
