Why Michigan Football's 2024 Recruiting Class Is Struggling | Michigan Football 2023

In April, the Michigan Wolverines had the nation's No.1 recruiting class in the 2024 cycle. Now, the Wolverines have the No.6 recruiting class, and as their recruits' rankings decrease, Michigan's recruiting class is also losing players. The quality and quantity of the 2024 class are shrinking, as Ohio State and Penn State now have a higher quality ranking per commit than Michigan does. Michigan Football's 2024 recruiting class has 27 commits, and there are not many commits left that the Wolverines are targeting. I believe Michigan's lack of Name, Image, and Likeness progression is at fault here. Jim Harbaugh, Jesse Minter, Sherrone Moore, and their assistant coaches continue to develop players and produce wins on the field. These coaches are also great recruiters in their own right.
