Why Mindset Is Not Healing Your Pain

From 2003 through 2009 I was a mindset junkie. I was constantly working on changing how I thought, how I perceived things, and how I interpreted the experiences I had.

I found this to be partially helpful, as it helped me learn how to nurture curiosity and begin to disconnect from reacting to all my thoughts as though they're real.

But what didn't change was how my body was reacting to situations, nor the anxiety or shame I was drowning in. 

I wasn't actually healing.

I was learning how to cope.

In 2009, I started to comprehend through experience how it was the body that was the center of the pain and the healing.  It was what needed care, nurture, and support in accessing, processing, and integrating what it had lived through at the body's level of reality (I call it the Somatic Realm).

You see, the energy the body experienced through sensations, feelings, and impulses didn't get fully processed so it could reach a state of completion or resolution.  Instead, it got stuck in a loop that created the anxiety that became my constant shadow, the shame that haunted and tormented me, and the fear that stalked me in my thoughts.

The thoughts and perceptions in my mind were actually produced by this unprocessed energy, and when I started processing it and integrating it, the shame thoughts, fear thoughts, and constant anxiousness reduced overall and even began stopping entirely in certain focuses on my life.  

Then emerged a natural mindset of curiosity, playfulness, and openness.  

This is why mindset is not healing your pain - because it is the wrong tool being applied to the wrong challenge.

The Membership for the special Eggs-Are-Expensive Rate of $75 a month, $797 a year, or $1500 Lifetime Access (Rates return to the normal $125 a month, $997 a year, $2000 lifetime July 10th, 2023). This includes practice sessions, twice-a-week support calls, advanced trainings, and emotion processing sessions.
