Why More Philadelphians Are Buying Guns

During the pandemic, a lot of people in Philly took steps to start carrying a gun. In 2021, the city issued more than 52,000 license-to-carry permits. That was seven times the number issued in 2020, according to an analysis by The Philadelphia Inquirer.
