The 2020 United States presidential election was the 59th quadrennial presidential election, held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. The series of presidential primary elections and caucuses were held from February to August 2020. The major two-party candidates are Republican incumbent President Donald Trump and Democratic former Vice President Joe Biden.
