In 2015, I'm going to call for more information about your book. You know what? I know that sounded a little bit more sinister than what it truly is, but stay tuned to everything to know where California from or details. Drop us a line at facebook.com.com.
Or you know what else I know where it's from at yahoo.com. Or you can find us on Twitter at know where it's from. You're about to enter a spoiler heavy zone. You're here at know where California like to call it, why not?
As you know, we'll be discussing certain movies and sometimes certain TV shows. If you have not watched the movie that we're about to discuss on this episode, go watch it right now. Pause this, go watch it, come back. And honestly, if you haven't watched Rouge yet, you're really good.
You heard the warning, so welcome to Why Not and we are talking about Rouge yet. Yes, we're in our good friend Nick, Chris, guys. Hey, look up, look up. You look up the weather right now when you're listening to this and it's Christmas.
We look up the weather right now, it's not an Halloween. So we're kind of like the retail environment where they will show Christmas down here at the beginning of October, but at least we're not bastards about it. Well, hold on. Santa came to my house dressed like, dragged a lot of hands.
Hey, everybody got a surgery, but not without crappy bullshit joking or anything. So we are talking about the immortal Bill Murray classic, Rouge. Oh, yeah. Tell us the mechanics we're in.
Now, talking about the background is a fancy guest voice of my wife, who's my cooker. Oh, yeah. That's actually it. That's the most Christmas to come.
Oh, my. It's a big craze. It's a really good one. It's like a black cat.
Anyways, as we say, why not, Bill? Let's get to the statistics. Alright, the statistics, well. We started with Rouge.
It was, well, it's a solid 7.0. It's not a 9-DB rating. But also, as we always talk about, the screen ratings can be a 1.0 rating. It's a lot of it.
I'm not, but I'm the fact that it's still a lot. It's not a 10, right? It's not a 10, right? It's not a 10, right?
But it's new to 9-D-B, so there's half the people. Like, it's pulling and everything. It's a troll. Yeah.
Oh, absolutely. I mean, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a quintessential holiday movie for me. That and her to say it's Christmas. Yes.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. We'll see how fast we can go to the other side and then tell, right! No, that's not. It's me.
I know, I know. I know. That's a soft spot for her. So I'm in their heart, some of their head.
Oh, you did. No. I'm the one that's being pulled to the soft spot in my heart first. Alright, thank you.
I love her. Okay, go. I think you both saw me. But I like her to say.
But, what would I mean? No, no, no. Logic money. We're always starting with the, well, the usual budget and whatnot.
Okay, the budget was $32 million and it grossed $60,328,8,558. That was to say it made over half of it. Yeah, I mean. Over half of it's budget back.
But then you also look at it gets a syndication payment because it goes on everywhere. It's on everywhere. It's on everywhere. It's also cranking out.
Yeah, I get one. Let me get the same one. And let me see if it'll give us a domestic gross. Alright, it's made $31,500,000 in Rental's in the USA alone.
When Rental's were a thing. Oh, yeah. I'm not hanging the hard for Blockbuster. Oh, I know.
Exactly. And of course, $60,328,558. Yeah, so it's a classic. We've already stated it's a classic.
Yeah, so $30 million. That's a chunk of change in the back room. Yeah, $90 million. Yeah, $90 million.
Yeah, $90 million. That's a sizable chunk of money to get it down to $40 million. Oh, absolutely. And the thing is, we had talked about this with Robin Shelby once and I agree with her in this.
With Scrooge of all the different incarnations and there are, oh, God, if you look at my entity and look up Scrooge, you know, Ebony just grew to my character. Oh, there are thousands of hundreds. Thousands of variations of Christmas. Well, the difference with this one though, there's those many, many variations on the Christmas Carol, but they all stick to the original story.
This was the first time that the Christmas Carol was took into a different level. Oh, yeah. It's in the British Isles and the Ebony's are screwed as a miser. Yeah.
Well, I know that it was a Christmas Carol with any Christmas Carol. Exactly. No, but that's correct for Rental. That's the first time he's a cynical TV executive.
Yes. It was in modern time. Yes. It was in modern time.
Modern day in America. Well, let's start out here. Who wrote it in direct? It was directed by Richard Donner.
Yes, it was. It was released in the Richard Donner. Yes. Yes.
Yes. Richard, Richard Donner directed it. And it was written by Mitch Wazer and Michael O'Donne. Michael O'Donne.
He was the original writer that made the story. He wrote the developed story for it. But the studio decided it was too dark. They went too dark with this one of the things that we'll definitely be pointing out is in the scene where Bill Murray is working on in his brother.
And he's talking to him. You can see it on the side wall that says the definition for cross. Because that's his name is cross. And the definition is something that you used to nail people to.
Very dark, huh? Oh, yeah. Well, those dark moments that slipped through the cracks on the new script. And I'll tell you, really, I'm freaking writer.
Right. I would love to see the complete version of this script. But still, I love this one. Oh, yeah.
I think it's very easy when they're great. And so this is one of my favorite variations of this tale. Oh, yeah. This is the one that I always go to.
Mostly because, well, you know, spoiler alert. It's a lot heavier for the Scrooge like character. Exactly. Not only does he find the arrows, but he also gets reunited with his last love.
Which never, but he doesn't know. It does go south. Oh, no, it does. It's the fucking, fuck you at the spoiler alert.
You gave it to the beginning of anything. If you knew it on this part, fuck you. I just got it. I'm not saying it on to be the shitty, said it guy.
Fuck you people. That's the reason I wanted to start doing that, Ernie. To break us from that. Spoiler alert.
Fuck you. Listen to us. Before we get deep into the movie, let's go to the cats and then we'll jump into you. Yeah.
That's what I was going to say. The gathering. And this is to be true with most of Bill Murray's films. They bind the right characters to surround you with.
It almost seems like he hand picks them. You know, you're putting it in there. That's the ghost of Christmas presents. And you've got, oh, David Johnson.
David Johnson, David Johnson, yeah. Yeah, it's his musical. Yeah, it's his musical. Yeah, it goes to Christmas past God.
Yeah, he was brilliant. That's a mention. I always love it when Bill Murray is doing it. Let's go.
That's just one of my favorites. Bill gets it singling in his know bells. Oh, he's so good. He's the one with the whistle-tone.
When I first saw the trailer, I thought we'd do a little craze. Bill Murray's really dressed. Stop it. Oh, wait.
We're going to freak cross. I was nine. You should have known better at nine. I think the perfect, the perfect person to bring out that cheer, because, I mean, he's a very ranged actor.
He can play in the cheer-in-front loving and all that sort of that, and every time. But he also played the asshole of Cross, really well. Yeah, what's your role? His love-interest.
She's so you know she's you know she's balls But she's just When she's called one be it's yeah Oh God like you knew there was a soft side of this and tears me up when they go to the past and stuff like that He really is what they had and stuff like that the one thing the one thing I can say I honestly am uncomfortable with the movie watching which I have a kind of that thing with the romantic movies and stuff Is when the guy that's something stupid. Oh that causes the breakup No, no don't do it. Don't do it. You want to stop him I go dude, you don't realize how wonderful you have it stay us stay us.
Hope you don't get up But that's how funny things you we push them with millions of millions of times. I still said they're gone. Don't do it. Don't do it Oh, yeah, I don't move inside.
Yes, but it's it's a fun journey. I know you that's why I keep going back to it Well, you know I have to tell you that aside from don't worry. Yeah, my favorite character in this is Magic Marley The Bob Cratcha character Yeah, yeah, but yeah Oh A lot of block at the beginning when he is just he's in his job is He's talking barely normal until they tell he freaking goes on the skits. Yeah, when he goes up deep in he is classic It's great.
I love his just sidebar here. Yeah, so if you get a chance watch his most recent stand up It's fantastic. You know, and it's one of these he dresses like I said talking people and it says, you know I think have you confused because you expect me to come on Really cool. I mean there was one where he was up in his earlier stand up He was doing the bobcat go but you know his character boy snuck and he said I Do stand up now and how he used to be in the past where he could easily been a conno-sick-tistic He could have been gone, but he's came to his own now He's a freaking awesome director awesome.
I her and still goes back to Santa was a director to Jimmy Kimmel show Oh, yeah, and I think he's a lot more talented than people Oh, absolutely. He's much darker Smart yeah, he's not as mainstream as like Sarah's yeah Yeah, who's yeah, I can get away with even her you thought God what she's gonna say yeah, but she does it well Yes, and he does that same thing exactly So it's not you know, that's all thing with those type of comics the darker comics everything and it's done well Really? And by the need of people like calsmen see or just the one trick bones versus like get off my screen now Okay, you used it back to you used to be a brilliant good and then I saw him like totally get slaughtered during the Wasn't one of the roasts one of the roasts. I mean just nothing was taking I'm like dude You're free What the hell is going on?
He's a It's not that he was never in comedy that long to be gay He was a wise face He was a wise face sensation He took a huge trouble money. I think I can't remember if it's a loan or if it's inheritance funny He's like ten or fifteen thousand dollars, but then all into advertising for himself Well, he's a self made comic but a lot of times don't expect him because he's not he never Yeah, he did he did the road, you know, he did but he was established enough Yeah, and so when you see him get into moments where he's kind of flying rancher stuff He uses a lot of gimmicky kind of You know the killer shit, you know, and it doesn't And it doesn't, I don't know if people see right through that and it'll be, you know, but again back to I can't really talk to you He's really guns and him settling out of the blood bank Oh God yeah, following him and then when he comes back with the gun and talking about and she took the kids Boom! I can't recall much since then because everyone is sneaking It's not his drinking of drink! It's not the way he holds it on a rock But he could do that No way, don't wake up Another character from his secretary Oh yes, she's a little flatter, she's a little flatter, she's a little flatter, she's a little flatter No, that's grandma Is that Alfred Warner?
Yeah, that's basically the... Great, I think she's more creative She's actually a murder-cratchy character because she's the employee And she has this kid, she has the tiny-tomb, the silent kid Yeah, so there's that, I don't think it's a bomb But that's no, she's a foul That's the kid, she's a little flatter There's a saucyness to this man Oh yeah, she's a little flatter, she's a little flatter Oh, that's the kid, $25,000 for a professional Tell me that, you don't have to speak, I just know that, you know what I mean? She's a little bit of ice No, no, the delivery is right, right, her delivery is right Falsitude, another great delivery point is to you when they're going through his Christmas listing You're not even getting one, like the handhelds and the... Oh, the handheld VHS And then she's doing his mother And then you're like, you're a little flatter And she went by his back, he's a VHS We're all back, yeah, especially when he gets the VHS back, that's not what we're going to do Well, let's also talk about some of the characters he runs through one way, some of the unconventional characters Yeah, the homeless guy, the homeless group The homeless group, yeah, and the later when he finds him frozen with his watch Yeah, and it's just, it's very similar to where he came to that round-up game only, when he finds the bomb You know, the group of the men he's frozen, he should have stayed with her Yeah, should we kept the horn, yeah, it would have been a...
Oh, whatever color... They're a color, I'll tell you that See, it's one of those moments where he's no longer yelling at him, he's yelling at himself, you know the choices that he made He should have stayed with her, yeah, the relatizations coming where he's like, oh, I scruised, yeah, and they made the joke about him They discussed earlier about him, how Tanya is and stuff, so that's when you hear the better color thing, I'm like, this is fucking brilliant moment Oh, he does, and you stop, you stop, you listen to the whole thing, I mean, it's where it takes the way from the comedy And it's a delirious place And another point of, I guess, talking to Dead, because we should have talked about at the top of the thing is the guy that plays his mentor Oh, yeah, that would be... The guy that plays the Marley Was he on four-side? John four-side, any plays?
Yeah, I'm on four-side He's like, he's character, I'm sorry He's basically the Marley character towards Scrooge, and that's the game where they're talking and he starts shooting at him because he gets in the charge He's like, but they've got to shoot at him, they've just standing there, he goes, I don't mind giving me Frank, but he's taking a look already He says, John, it's just... Everything hits the right mark, yeah, and especially even if it's like the scene where he's getting held out the window He's like, no, I don't believe it, I don't believe it, I did not believe it, yeah, he goes like, I can't squeeze in for breakfast Or something like that, trying to reason it, I was like, come up, yeah, it's just the whole business I love that part where they have the you know the talk about in the original child big and bottle you go oh you're a blossom mustard crump of cheese and then the diet digest a bit of potato and he's got his own variation on it you're like gas from Chernobyl or something yeah or those are just he's a trip around by years of your host nation wrong by yeah it's great oh yeah it's it's you know anybody knows what they can follow or knows the story yeah and also go along with the dick inside we did discuss a little bit so let's start with the ghost of Christmas past yes played by you know well you will call him back as that's what everybody knows that everybody knows that hot that is that that's not all we knew exactly everything Frank you see I'm the ghost is his voice and that's the whole thing to you with the ghost of Christmas past and the original Charles Dickens it was a woman that has a little like a fairy like a fairy that's right yeah so they jump to a teardrop yeah it's it's a switch ball well you're there yeah your fair comes down on Christmas better yeah that'd be right yeah yeah exactly and instead of uh but she was supposed to represent the joy yeah yeah now that's what I was included where are you to the president or are we oh no no no I'm still talking about that okay um but you know just a little character study yeah when you talk about it you know it's like the past you know it's like you know um what it was considered back then you know something like the one thing you need to do yes but the way a new Yorker would see the past because what do you think of the past oh I remember when I waited real long for a fucking cat yeah I mean it's a whole it's all in perspective but then also too with the tax again with this one it builds up because before that scene it's when he was doing the word ceremony oh yes the car doesn't mean anything to him he also took the cat from normal in yeah yeah so yeah the fair and he was up I mean he went super duper but then we get what's more nice your ass to go to Christmas pass and then we get to see the kind of trouble of bringing you know too trouble but just neglecting well you realize you realize what it was I mean he was he was he watched he'd be you know he would sit down with his mother and as you can see his mother is pregnant with his brother at the time yeah and his father comes in play by Brian Doyle Mary yeah Bill Birdie's brother and he comes in he sets this uh package now we go here you know Francis Mary Christmas that's what you doing no five pounds of Bill but then he asked Santa for a choo-choo they go on again John and buy a choo-choo yeah I mean he really develops the pack oh yeah yeah her her little was great especially when you realize you know that oh maybe uh he he presents his brother because maybe uh you know he lost his mother when he's uh there's always we got out there so he kind of falls under the whole what did Odolke mean his uh original script oh exactly we get a death of the mother back yeah no we just we just see him crying you know you need to see his film where he crying but it's the whole uh very Christmas ranking angel yeah yeah that's a beautiful point of moment because even if even if it's bonded didn't pass away it's just that was the trigger of going I used to look at this that's the reason why I used to love holidays and everything but it was because of my dad was a douche my mother my son my son you know they even even though they tried I mean they even prepare you for it because he goes you know what you know that's exactly what this guy said but the mommy saw his mother not Niagara Falls yeah I mean it was me go then I never thought I was breaking angel the Niagara Falls from Gainesville I mean there's love me there yeah but it's not it yet but then we get into his working life and then like we talked about before with the whole god what the fuck are you doing man don't let this girl go yeah we get that the whole relationship thing and then we jump into the present with Gerald King that's the awesome goes through Christmas present oh my gosh you're such a nut I mean MTV had a pulse back then with the movies and everything that would have been best fighting that here oh yeah oh absolutely and everything is beating that yes that will go very and give him back to him oh yeah he's gonna hurt you but then she just kicks his hands he takes him with a toaster oh god oh yeah that's one of my favorite all my routines it's not written here but you know that she actually knocked one of his crowns oh yeah I'm not saying she fuck her in the office when he got hit with the toaster yeah he lost up he lost the crown nice yeah uh it was good that's that's come in it yes it goes into the current life of his brother right yeah i think that might be a solid reason that he resents yeah his brother is because his future is present isn't tainted by the past that they both shared obviously um you know or maybe build i'm sorry what i'm not afraid you know but i know nobody's scared right right right right right right the hot mower shit from the dad then the little boy you know even we know well which is usually ship and also maybe even the dad was on the picture by that time sure so he has a her dad is that meant towards the back like you didn't have to go to this ground whatever whatever i think it's he resents him for something really because he stepped with what he loved instead of going forward making a successful way and people would pay thank you to him and you know all that stuff yeah i do love that home with that when they're doing the trivial pursuit yeah we have to do it when he gets on the t-shirt he says and you know and to me it's just me no no no no is the ship there's about to brought them to be out no points this round yeah yeah i can't even know that i thought i was camera doing that i'm probably like click i don't know that i'm like i'm gonna be going home in bed my mind just went to poop so we got to put you in my lantern oh yeah and well we get the great build up with the christmas present everything and then we kind of start getting the climax because we're getting closer to the midnight broadcast of the christmas carol on the network so we know we're getting close to the clients that goes to christmas future with that little bit of the most feared specter and even though you know they they there's that big old park we're back at go wait you know interrupted it's about to you know grab them i mean they still teach you it's like holy shit here he comes here he comes here he comes oh it's it's the way there's the reason he looks like the reaper oh you know and uh you know of course you get kind of uh you get the kind of spooky tear on the way opens you know you open the door and the door goes to the door so it's like a little song beforehand before that scene where he sees the holes and he and graces out the elevator with uh the uh the uh the glider glider yeah they're staying there and the elder opens it's the guy that's playing those christmas he's on the show yeah i'm scared of you but the day i've had you just lay it into me you pussy yeah everybody goes great put that on here he's the guy in the costume my my favorite part about that is he like you know he oh he says suppose he he gets those he gets those he has like misbears it's hilarious oh i don't know i can't hear that bad we're not oh it's funny i don't know if you meant to do this but do you guys know when he gets scared don't worry jumps and he hits Gracie right in the face oh you know yes she's better jocking oh she is she is doing that but i don't know if it was originally candid because it doesn't look like she was great for it because he jumps he's great and he belts her right in the face you know i don't want to cut he's fine oh my god oh my god oh she's sorry you know because you know don't worry about the word we didn't ask her anything you know i could just pick her you know i make the community choice you know i'm gonna damage you on there and i decide i'm gonna fuck it oh no you're thinking the way you're thinking oh you're always out here you're right here i don't think that's hard i'll worry to get to that yeah but this to the christmas future we we get the demons and everything the souls and then we get ripped into the future where oh yeah first you see um um um kara nal and scarred she's rich she's rich and she's sure yes oh she's oh she's everything back that she took her advice i'd always say that she's not she probably went back to him got that rich life and everything but still deep down in her soul in her heart she's always that soft person that wants to help people wants it because you can cut it off she's not gonna take it off her cheek she's when she's doing that last part and the tears will end up she gets just like it's a lot more beautiful yeah you brought me to this point and then you're done yeah but as she's doing it you know as she's uh going through what he said you get to see a man and you know and whisper say don't worry you know you don't expect us because at the time he knows you we just know it's very pretty much a comment i think you just go sorry yeah you know just whisper just then you're sorry i need to just hold yeah yeah you know and then you you jump to the scene of the creation oh god you think it's his brother's a great deal too oh yeah and he's like oh no no oh no oh no oh my oh wait a minute there is james james who's in there who's in the box and then it goes to him in the box and the fire tunnel creep up the paddles and stream it all right i wanted that that's the thing too as we talked about that once we're like oh don't do that same thing we know the christmas karrel sorry we know it completely we know what's going on it's still it's still drags you know the christmas karrel story because this is where the dark side of it i think work better because the christmas karrel is always traditionally he goes to christmas future he takes him to the great side he's already dead and he shows him you know like died alone you know or died and you know whatever uh but he shows him the heads up this actually takes him to the day of his death yeah and you know like every door to the day of his funeral on his cremation and he's going to go down that way the fact that it was just his brother and his brother's wife no no no no we do that was a callback towards the funeral scene of christmas karrel because nobody was there yeah no other and not even a brother was there it was just it was just do do do do go down there i'm going great brother's thing when that says we're done yeah yeah yeah i just think that you know that's when you know the the weight of the whole thing really hits him the reality i can't because it's not just about changing himself anymore it's about stopping what's going to happen to clear what you know helping race and her son he's getting worried he's because we do get that scene too well or he's in a funny part yeah the pad sounds are really like i know people at chomas hospital in new york we're gonna get this kid everything he needs yeah and uh you know you find the same thing start breakthrough you know and everything that was good about him you know when he was franking angel he's now and but then also do as we were talking about with the there we get the main story of christmas carol but then we also get all these little side bits like we were talking about where the sense are being clocked in the head with the oh yeah but the build up for that scene where they have this all the dancers and he's like i don't see any nipples oh yeah that one actor you know he's doing it very soon and that was a guy in the block yeah yeah and then we get the stage hand with the dormize and karen els character going he's like i can't get these ampers on but right like they don't stay close don't you dare yeah that you can't get these little bits that we get thrown in there where it just it builds a great movie already into an even better movie because you're getting a full on story you're getting like different aspects you get you bobcat built with character bouncing around doing his thing tell me about his own best and then also too did you did you hear him in the i think it was the lunch scene with the producer and the present of the network where the bake the last and the golfs the guy the waiter and he runs and throws water on yeah catch what he says he says i thought you were trying to yeah or what did i say yes and no because i could see that being part of the old script i mean okay yes but i still think that's bill mr it's bill mr it's bill mr yeah at that point which prior had had embraced the fact that you know what happened he was making life exactly uh honestly i thought of like go throw the water on him and then see what he pulled yeah yes i just i think every movie i'll just go back to bill the western part and how so much of that movie was add you know the knocking on the table you know i mean you know this reminds me the time you tried to go on it that would work dude i just thought me yeah that all that's adler yeah and so well how about kenya oh you know i see in the valley lama was you know it's bigger uh in the teen off almost oh yeah he's he's just that one thing he's just bringing i'm gonna need a tenth or you know like eight percent mens or whatever it is eight months and the golf club and you know that's it you know you know you know what i mean you get it and you get it and you get it and you get it and you know it's that scene did not that scene in the entire movie oh but i think that's i think it's probably one of those things if he dumped in there himself yeah oh my god just leave it in it's super yeah oh i didn't say like he did he probably did it and also he probably called up Richard barge on this is like just it Richard was trying to flock yeah but you know that's it's just one of those things that don't worry we'll bring to uh you know to roll the takes a scene that's funny and makes it hilarious and uh you know when he freaks out when he's looking at the the i don't know how to put glasses on that's true you know that Francis for me like he he's an oh she's just you know like that he had been startled by the oh there's another part where he suspects what is the ghost that i mean get that i know he's god there's some reason other stuff about this great between the sense of him whatever yeah yeah this is i really don't know who this will tell oh god yeah that's kicked in my oh shit oh yeah it had to be the dark because it's the only thing that doesn't smell like yeah oh it's i guess yeah to move from that shall be discussion to the trivia yeah the end of the movie where it goes where most movies the way they end it with the whole everything's wrapping up well boys start talking and breaking this off yeah any other movie that would be corny could be psychotic but in the story within the story it fit yeah because that's what the dancers the soluble dancers were there there was the big dance member at the end and they just decided to you know what happens is you know his assistant breaks in the song and you know they all kind of love your heart yeah what about the reappearance or the aid of the ghost of christmas past getting getting his girlfriend oh yeah place just anybody here who knows more yeah just all of that said it words great any other movie like i said if you like that's a little too on the nose you know little shit yeah i just it yeah i think it's again like i said before i think it's a movie where he's surrounded by the best supporting cast if he possibly you know to have it and who's the the network exact the president the only just that uh this is our mission is i think it is our mission but the katsey are you talking about when he kicks a cat yeah okay kat i left my ass off the mic and going that's watch tv oh get it detected was straight oh yeah he doesn't say he goes before we were to fire that for past three oh especially he goes what are you doing sitting around watching television playing yourself oh yeah oh it's just too damn good you know and brother mitch of his mother mitch of his fucking bad guy he was okay fear he was terrifying in that to see him in this on the phone give me you know give me you know give me the kick of the car right now and he's on the phone and he's like oh god he died and more bro take this the movie the movie never makes no it fails uh to make a tear oh no it's for me it's the exact scene as the oh there you are Peter yeah i'm not wearing the voices you know god does everyone he's like oh forget something oh yeah and cost of her time then oh no you're talking about it's such a good scene and i can't wait uh because my love the one over here for expecting her to and she's gonna be some pretty i'm gonna be a local winner every christmas it's gonna be fucking garcials christmas we're gonna oh everything i know it's not here i know it's not what we're doing right now because right now we are recording october who i have that garpill dvd just waiting oh we bought we have a all the classics we bought a big pack oh yeah oh oh yeah oh no no no no no no no no no i'm just a snow i'm just a i think oh yeah i was a great i missed that thing but thank you but like you're saying what that's in where he goes god so everyone is it's yeah the movie would be sakar yeah but this one was so beautiful even when he's uh you know even when he's tearing up you know he talks about you know it's like you know you doesn't have to be christmas yeah as you want to be good it makes me feel great it's made me feel a lot better than i felt a long time and i wasn't guaranteed that that that sequence right there i would say is probably upright because they're probably like you're gonna be talking to the world do any character you know what to do i think can he just started he tears loose with it and he he gets into doing it and he's in his little trusser's like and then and then he gets into his head that you can hear that you can hear that you can hear that you can hear that you can hear it you'll get really far you know you wanted to learn the food on you just be out and stream and but it was so kind of powerful and then absolutely powerful back to the news part when he starts talking to people in the theater though oh that was great be missy mr. Paul bey but then starts calling out people like you know you're the whole movie that's why like recently like last year about this time i tweet i said it sweet twig whatever you want to call it what what don't send out anybody you said the queen can we have spruge for the december's classic movie show they have let's go please oh and then recently with the passing robin louis i just send him another step like i don't know what you guys want to show but please can we get a robin louis movie for the other in his life and everything and he did this act yeah they gave it with good money like they may have been sent to a planet yeah but no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no i'm not a i would kill the people see his version of their and get that's in sequence being able to see that on the big I'm like, yeah, I was on the seat. I was in the room.
Well, he has great views. What do you hear? Excuse me. I'm a big, not big.
You're a liar. You're a good liar. You should say, well, the judge is not a liar. Don't make it drop on the dash.
I'm going to shove your face right in there. Do you see me? You see me? You see me?
No! I thought he said great. Oh, great. No, great.
No, great. He's like, I'm looking at him. I was a weird thingy. I'll be still this.
What's that? What? How am I making a weird joke like that or something? You always ask me to, like, get my shirt face and be like, I want something.
You know what I call this. What I call this one, you make a shirt move. You're going to know what I'm saying. It's not how to do this.
That's how you're making a weird joke. You'll have like, momentary distance. Then you're like, what the fuck is building? Yeah.
If they were to make a weird joke, they're working hard to get. If it was very confident, I'd be making it a whole other way. No, that's what I'm doing. I'm like, oh, no I don't like that.
Okay. This was the same way, another bald caggle thing. We'll be standing up and talking about that too, where he's like, if you go baby, you don't get older, you're getting older. I'm not saying, I'm not saying that, I'm like that thing.
I'm like that guy. You know, I looked. I looked my age from up here. You said, before I sit down, I got a 21-lit set.
I love you. Hello. As we like to end, most of all, why not? We got a little juicy trivia for you here.
So it's her turn to lock inside. It does. There's over 50 items. There's over 50 items.
We can't go through all of them. We have some good front cuts. And my favorite is the first one right here. When it goes to Christmas present care, okay, grab Bummerys left.
She tore his lips so badly, that building was halted for several days. And we got a little bit of that. You know. It's just a little...
She tore his lips so badly that filming was halted for several days. And we kind of alluded to it where she had a wuck in. She knew the shit out of him, but I think I had to kind of see when she grabs his lip, I saw that. It hurts me to watch her.
I think I know why. I'm like, I think you can actually bit work the moment where she made the tear. Yeah. And you can kind of tell like she's that type of person after he's done, he's probably bleeding everywhere.
He'd probably go on with it, but she's probably freaking out. He's like, Okay, it's like, no. Yeah, I know. I know.
He lost a crown and had his lips all over the same. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. He knows.
He hasn't been it. He doesn't have a lot of shit kicked out. He knows. He knows.
He's a fiery thing. And he just is the way he does. Right? That's the only thing you see.
He's in general life. He's a tiny, quiet, but I don't like everything. She's very, you know, like I remember from texting. Well, taxi, but also Princess Brian.
Yes. Yes. Yes. She's an miracle.
Yes. And she's such a ball of fire. Yes. You know, she's just as always energy back in the little thing.
Oh, yeah. And I think that's what makes her. Besides, she has kind of a unique look to her. I mean, I'm not saying that that's, I think she's very pretty.
Yes. She's a very unique feature to her. Kind of a dalket pale when we were in on and then has that voice that just is unmistaking there. Well, it's like we were talking about she just popped up on about them recently when the series started.
We're just like, oh my God, it's okay. Yes. So, yeah, I'm not shocked at it. You know, she was like, oh, you know, she doesn't worry.
Okay. Okay. We'll get upset about having to rough up. Don't worry.
I understand. She did not like what she was doing. She was like, oh, it's like, you know, go nuts. Don't worry about it.
Don't worry about it. Don't worry about her. This movie was the second ghost picture comedy that starred Bill Murray. The film was marketed with references to Ghostbusters, which had been a great success four years earlier.
In the USA, the tagline was, Bill Murray is back among the ghosts only this time it's really against one. That's the advertising like that. No, no. Once again, we talked and I'll just say it's really, really, get out of that today.
We talked about the possibility of the guys returning for the reboot of the Ghostbusters. You can see here how that franchise was so popular that it crept into everything. He does advertising for Ghostbusters in Scrooge. Yes.
And so you can see where maybe that, you know, Bill Murray wanted to separate himself from that. Yeah, he had a property. I can see it. So that's what...
That's actually a very devout thought in which is why I'm doing talking to you there. Oh, here's a go. I have this one. The trivia game played by Frank's mother is what's the name of the vote I'm doing in battle.
Director Richard Donner was one of the original directors of the show. Did I also do that? I did that. I did that.
Richard Donner was director of the film. He was one of the original directors I'm doing in battle. I did that. I didn't know that.
I didn't know that. I was like my ass. A lot of the actors are listening. Very very young.
You guys wish. That's all his points? Yeah. Like we've said before, these trivia points are coming from my indie beat.
So from the internet. Hey, it could be funky. The truth is the stranger than fiction sometimes. Well, how about this one?
Sam Tennyson was a graduate slave that played the part of the film The Christmas Past. The part of the film is that David Johansson did his friendship with Bill Murray. Really? Yeah.
That wasn't even the factor of the same as the past. No, it wasn't that. In the church about Sam Tennyson's past. I thought we were a fucking kid.
We were a fucking kid. We were a fucking kid. Sorry, we're fucking kid. Say good.
That was great. Sorry, I had a good one here and I lost it. I had a good segway. I was a beautiful kid too.
That was a segway. Well, okay. I did more of this. First of two consecutive ghost pictures in two consecutive years, for Star Bill Murray who would in the following year do ghostbusters too.
Oh, the first of two consecutive back-back ghost pictures of cinematographer Michael Chatman in the following night in a man year lens to go spusters do well chat with the mayor yes yes of course yes mm-hmm the majors or canals as himself the night the reindeer guy that helps with this though oh yes it does in the silver bed a great aging christmas oh father rose beaver yeah that i know because uh that can't say talk about it in the original like they're talking about the original service urge the father was beaver joke is from the original script really okay cool that goes up here we go one more first of two ghost movies that actors out for what are appeared in within about five years the second picture was going to be heart and souls and another great movie is our identity another very future why not yes oh right moving another one that just talks about hearts well i christian was actually the first one to show me that and i love that as with the trivia we also end every why not with some rapid-life recommendation so we're going to give you our recommendations of our favorite bell mary movies and i'm going to throw it out there right now i'm going to place it on the table no ghost buzzers no ground lock day we already know we here in the end or fuck man no i know it has a whole other webinar don't worry films that are out there but i think john's i can die right now yeah i don't think it was came back streamlars talented died the the inner child like jake spring into puberty into the teeny joint you're fucking good yeah fuck you man fuck you i need to be cool i need to be good so i'll start it out with uh one like kind of favorite one i really really want to read it but it kind of was off his beaten path was uh lots of translation it was um very mellow don't worry movie like they brought starless and into the forefront from like all those weird any flakes but it was such a good like it was understated it was very low key but it was brilliant for it also great shout out to uh selfie of cobbler still trying to make a man's for go without other three okay uh let's go right twice okay that's fine uh i don't know if one of his more mainstream comedies uh what about bob is oh my god he and rich directors and that are so goddamn um just there's there's not even it's a whole episode in and of itself we can try to cover the comedy that is the perpetual hyper-cogreact that is bill marina film and then kind of skips out of the videos and that film and the one that you should not uh i should i should work i i think so but that kind of has such like snobbish outlook on comedy they really which is funny because i think the legislature's moving out snob them and that department is bill marina oh absolutely but he has keystorts yeah absolutely yeah so my recommendation is one i thought i loved his uh rant when he talks about terets syndrome but shittings on a bench bastard do spad clap yeah no that's it bach it is with that yeah which is just great but it's a good help that was covered but it's a good one for it is all right uh the one i would do uh would be uh the man who knew too little oh that is an example of and it's cool it's a terrible move yeah yeah right it is an example of how it could act or can say oh exactly oh yeah and just watching bill marie be bill marie uh it's entertaining enough he carried he literally carries the whole yeah exactly you know normally you know in like in a case of ghostbusters he had other wonderful people work off of and there were there were people that were okay but we really weren't on his his level and he carried the whole film yeah i like that one okay my next one is guard till tell two kids that's totally okay hey that was like there's a fucking bob away from you i go break it yeah yeah no i i i i saw you i make a dark reference oh my god gerrymandered that gerrymandered but my honest uh final recommendation for my fact for the recommendations is maybe they'll let the barber ball get low yeah freaking brilliant oh you have to say hello oh you see he has a support he's rolling it but him and robert go all planning this live funeral and everything and just building up and just film re in kind of a period piece just jumping right into it right and just working with a master like robert of all as his grizzled mountain and that's basically done he wants to have a living funeral so he wants to tell everybody his life and bill marie's the undertaker that helps him plan everything that's cool it's such it was it was it was another way of the premise of this it was another way of it but it's such a hidden jam yeah i think my recommendation would have to be life-a-clock there you go it's a lot of those same lines as uh russian war and um oh my god was the one that's eating with paul the world's the world's the world's the world's the world's the world's the bottom jam okay yeah so it's along those lines it's kind of that pw yeah you're like mmm very dry yeah yeah but it's um but it's um i'm going to say i'm good i will see the one that i'm looking forward to which i don't know if i'm gonna recognize what was in the grand oh yeah i was going to recommend that one oh we'll see it though i i have seen it is freaking brilliant i hear everybody he's a small part in it right but it is a funny fucking oh once you've got to see my name it's man yeah i was on my on your to do it i'm about that but don't worry i'm just because i recommended that doesn't mean that's my recommendation i wanted to recommend i'm going to recommend one that he's not the star but i think everybody should see the scene um in the movie wild things he plays oh please yes leave the lawyer oh that's right yeah that's right yeah i mean some of his ad libs are good they've actually got some stuff i'm coming or uh yeah real yeah where he just you know being gomer yeah and he goes like well i don't do that you don't when i don't jerk off where did that happen just while he's saying he's not a lawyer yeah yeah there honestly we didn't limit it to what we've said but there's so many more people oh there's many more guys i recommend quick change um uh like a monument's man at the grand vote of best hotel what's the one with uh him and miki work what's the name of the movie but he played it in the box please i have circus freak with angel basically an angel but he's a bad guy yeah and miki works at trumpet players how weird freaking with millenry it's gonna be brilliant yeah you know just it's just like when you have to reduce so there's only more that you don't watch and enjoy because it's freaking bill mary so it gets more because we'll get all the same no you won't talk to three it's actually the greatest kind of other world zombie man yeah so this is not the wind up for scrooge as you look at the calendar we won't look at ours because it says october but as you listen to this it will be December 25th when you are listening to this hopefully or a front that time so right christmas from everybody love her but love her christmas from everybody here but they're helping have a new video let's kick their 2015 yes
