We discuss how the business sector is becoming increasingly more transparent about their sustainability and impact-driven practices  We discuss how consumer demand has driven the need for businesses to be engaged in solving community challenges  We see how business sector changes have led the way for more business to adopt authentic and integrated cause-related marketing practices We talk about how funders are now more interested in supporting deeper outcomes that delivering more impact than in the past We highlight other factors indicating an increase in the social businesses including, generational shifts in how they view business as needing to play a bigger role in addressing social problems, the rise of benefit corporations, the increase in impact investing and the growth of ecosystems to support the social enterprise community. We discuss how COVID-19 has further validated the need for more social change leaders to start that social enterprise, launch that nonprofit or social impact business that makes a contribution to the collective.
