Why One Keeps It Up

Tried to leave, but you see right through me. (Please don’t ask me to stay.) I noticed that your door was open. (Is this a waste of time?) There was something in the air that evening. I tried to leave, but you see right through me. You were a friend of mine. There must be something here that keeps us warm. Are we too blind to see it’s going badly? (Please don’t ask me to go.) I’m still hoping that you’ll want to hold me. (It’s not a waste of time.) If you feel it, then you say it, baby. This is normal, but they’ll call us crazy.
