Marxists argue that a workers' revolution is necessary to overthrow capitalism. In the last decade, uprisings have broken out in Sudan, Chile, Algeria, Hong Kong, Myanmar and more. Many of these revolts began with specific demands about democracy, inequality, or opposition to military rule.
