Why Practice Church Discipline

Church discipline is a sensitive topic in any era of the church. Many have lived through painful experiences. Many feel blindsided by the topic itself. Many others believe it to be contrary to the love Jesus commanded the church to exhibit. However, it is from the very words of Jesus that this command comes from. What is its purpose? How is it loving? Is it good and God-honoring? These are questions we will examine today as we continue to study Christ’s Church. | Matthew 18:15-17
