Why Reading Old Books Is Important, Featuring Bobby McPherson and Joseph Crampton
from The Garrett Ashley Mullet Show · host Garrett Ashley Mullet
My colleagues at The Reformed Conservative, as well as In Gladii Veritas fellows, Bobby McPherson and Joseph Crampton join me to discuss old books, and why we should read them, as well as the value Christians should assign to a good kind of tradition. What's our prescription for American Christians in particular, for works to read and study to understand better what’s going on culturally, socially, philosophically, politically, and theologically right now? How does what we’re doing fit into the task of equipping the saints for the work of ministry, and a Christian life well-lived and fruitful, neither naïve nor anxious, in these times? What do we see as the biggest challenges to helping others to agree that these are worthy goals in our day, and how should we think about these challenges? All of that and more, in this episode of The Garrett Ashley Mullet Show.
