Why Russia Needs Islam — A Message to Aleksandr Dugin

Is Russia destined to the same fate as the West?  Its leadership, both political and cultural, sees itself as the great opponent of the American 'Empire of Lies'. It claims to want to stop the ideological slide of humanity into moral relativism and cultural decadence. But what if its current trajectory is exactly the same? What if this slide is unavoidable, without the widespread adoption of Islam? To explore this we look into the philosophy of Aleksandr Dugin, Russia's leading public philosopher. With his nuanced understanding of Islam and its role as a against liberalism, we critique Dugin's current philosophy, and show how Orthodox Christianity will not restrain moral decline in the Russian people. They will need Islam, as seen through the rational and moderate lens of Islam Ahmadiyya.
