Why Satan Wants you to Commit Suicide Now

Satan tempts Christians to commit suicide everyday but did you know he tempted Jesus to kill Himself too? In this episode, J.T. Singletary examines what this temptation in Luke 4:9-13 reveals about the enemy’s spiritual attacks, how these attacks target your calling, and the danger of knowing Scripture without knowing the heart of God. You will learn: • Why Satan attacked Jesus’ identity before telling Him to jump • How Scripture can be quoted accurately but applied outside the will of God • How religious manipulation and church hurt can lead people to withdraw from God and church fellowship • Why intimacy with God is necessary to discern His heart in Scripture • How Jesus resisted fear, shame, and the pressure to prove that the Father loved Him SCRIPTURE REFERENCES: Luke 4 verses 9-13 Psalm 91 verses 11-12 Deuteronomy 6 verse 16 Matthew 4 verse 11 Hebrews 4 verse 15 Ephesians 6 verse 12 Matthew 22 verses 37-39 1 Kings 19 verses 1-8 CHAPTERS: 00:00:00 Why Did Satan Tempt Jesus With Suicide? 00:03:44 When Church Hurt Becomes Spiritual Suicide 00:07:08 You Do Not Have to Prove God Loves You 00:10:48 Becoming Sons and Your Next Step LISTEN NEXT: In case you missed it, listen to the previous episode of the Overcoming Suicide series, What the Bible Reveals About Closing the Door to Suicide & Depression LISTEN ON Apple | Spotify If this teaching helped you, follow Sonship University and send this episode to one person who needs it.
