Why Sit Here Till We Die?

from LBC Candler · host Liberty Baptist Church

Passage: 2 Kings 7:1-17 Preacher: Derrick McCarson Series: Elisha: Miracle Man Category: Elisah, Miracles, 2 Kings Summary: The Syrian army had broken the peace treaty with Israel and laid siege to the capital city of Samaria. Under the oppression of the Syrians, famine and starvation besieged God’s people. When Israel’s situation couldn’t get much darker, a ray of hope dawned from the word of the prophet Elisha. But, the hero of this story isn’t the man of God, it was four lepers whom God used to help deliver a city from starvation. In this message, we are going to learn three lessons from these lepers. If we as a church are going to survive and go forward by faith, then there are some things we cannot afford to do.
