Why Social Media is Ruining Our Lives

from Gossip and Gratitude · host Alexa Golden and Hailey Piper

This week we chat all about how social media contributes to poor mental health, low body confidence and lower self worth. There are so many negative aspects to social media and how it effects our lives on a daily basis, even though we may not even realize it. One this we wanted to note was that social media can also be a positive space and a vessel for spreading awareness and making change. We recorded this episode before the current protesting began for Black Lives Matter and we wanted to acknowledge this movement. Here is a link which will provide you with several options to help make a difference from donations to petitions and educational resources: https://blacklivesmatters.carrd.co/
