The Texas Longhorns return 67% of their production from 2023 and quarterback Quinn Ewers, who threw for 3,479 yards and 22 touchdowns last season. However, elite defensive tackles T'Vondre Sweat and Byron Murphy II left for the NFL, cornerback Terrance Brooks transferred to Illinois, and running back Jonathan Brooks and all starting wide receivers also departed for the NFL. I am not high on Quinn Ewers, Steve Sarkisian's red zone management, or Texas' defense, and I think losses to Michigan and Georgia, and an upset will keep them out of the CFP.
