Why the Chiefs Paint Seats Gold

The Kansas City Chiefs have officially opened the nomination window for the 2026 Lamar Hunt Legacy Seat, an initiative that celebrates the team's founder. This program honors individuals who demonstrate exceptional character and a commitment to uniting the community. Chosen honorees and their guests receive VIP pregame treatment and are recognized during home games in specially designated gold seats. Located in the lower bowl, these seats sit symbolically beneath the founder's name in the Ring of Honor. Fans are encouraged to submit names of those who embody the franchise's core values to receive this prestigious recognition.
