Why the economy is a top issue for voters in 2024, and how elections offices guard against cyberattacks

The economy is a leading topic mentioned by voters this year. A poll from the Pew Research Center published in September revealed eight in ten registered voters said the economy will be very important to their vote in the presidential election. People who responded to an unscientific WUSF survey said they have concerns about property and auto insurance. Income inequality, the cost of housing, inflation and the national debt are among the other economic issues that you say you’re worried about. And basic needs - like the cost of food - are important for voters of all ages.
