What does "Imputed Righteousness" mean for our daily lives? The Cross gives us the free gift not JUST of being made clean from our sin, but to be clothed with the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus Himself. When we answer for our lives before God, we stand on His righteousness and life, not our own. The truth is that if we try to stand on our own righteousness or good deeds, we will fall short. You don't want to do that. You were created for so much more! Philippians 3:7-9 But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith
