The United States 2020 presidential election has been declared "The most important election in U.S. history" by Biden supporters, Trump supporters, historians and the media alike. The estimation is that 4 in 10 eligible voters did not note in the 2016 presidential election, putting the United States far behind most developed countries when it comes to voter participation. "My vote doesn't matter" and "I don't know how" are the most common excuses that I hear from that forty percent, both within the United States and abroad, the first simply being untrue and the latter 100% solvable with the right resources. My family has always stressed the importance of participation in our democracy but when I moved abroad I almost didn't vote in 2018 because I didn't know how and now, after some simple research and resources on-hand, I get to help people vote every day.
