Why Weaponizing the Law is a Losing Republican Strategy; Republicans Seek to Defund Federal Police

The Republican Party has been trying to nefariously use the law in efforts to hold down, defeat and demoralize certain segments of the American populaiotn, from voter suppression laws to redistricting/gerrymandering to recounts/audits/fraudits and passing laws depriving women of their constitutionally protected privacy rights. However, this is NOT a winning formula for the Republican Party. On a related from, the Republican Party is working at the moment to shut down government. I it seems to qualify as irony that the party that incessantly complains about the (largely nonexistent) defund the police movement is about to defund our 700,000 federal police officers.
